Post holiday’s.. where to start!

If it feels like every room in your home is bursting at the seams and you don’t know where to start - you need to hear this. 

You’ve heard us say it before but it’s worth repeating: start with your garage.  While it may feel like the most out of sight and, therefore, out of mind space in your home - your garage is still a part of your home and it holds the key to free up space for the rest of your belongings inside. Getting your garage organized, besides the clear benefit of having that space streamlined and in control, will act as a domino effect for the rest of the home, and here’s why.

First, getting your garage in order is so much easier than you can imagine thanks to the ability to streamline your belongings in large (and forgiving!) bins that contain (and hide!) your categories. We always recommend custom labels to make the look polished and streamlined.

Second, and here is the most important reason why this should be your organization strategy, once you create space in your garage (and you will once you get started!) items from your home that you don’t need every day can come into the garage to be stored until they are needed.  Some examples of these items are overflow toys and games, special occasion serving ware and glassware, seasonal decor, etc.  Suddenly, the items that were taking up physical and mental space inside your home are moved out of the way, giving you the ability to start tackling smaller projects around your home.
